“I’m surprised to read so many negative comments about the resort and staff. We just returned from a 6 night stay and couldn’t have been happier. We had an ocean view room on the second floor. The A/C worked great, shower had hot water, comfy bed, and nice patio to relax on. We had no issues w/ the wind blowing under the doors. The food was very good. We ate at the Asian restaurant twice and both times it was great. The breakfast buffet was included for us because we were part of a corporate group but you can save quite a bit by ordering off the menu if it is not included. We ate lunch at Azul Grill almost every day and found the food here very good as well. The pool staff was very attentive. Drinks are expensive but that’s to be expected. The staff was great. We didn’t encounter anyone who didn’t speak English. They were all very helpful and willing to do anything to make your vacation a great experience. Got massages at the spa and it was very nice. It was quite a ride from the airport, 1 1/2 hours with the last part being a very bumpy road.”
